Girls' Volleyball
The Tigers volleyball team won 2 at Boone Grove Thursday night with the 7th grade winning 25-11, 25-18 and the 8th grade winning 25-16, 25-22. Claire Garwood went 13 for 13 serving. The 7th grade also had great defensive play from Sami Risk and Ashley Vernon. The 8th grade team was lead by Hannah Leffew going 5-7 serving and Raegan Stinnett going 6-8 serving. Emily Leffew, Jackie Osornio, and Mary Howell contributed with great back row playing.

The Wanatah Tigers 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Washington Township for an invitational tournament and came away with a 1-2 record.  In the first game Wanatah lost to Westville 25-16, 25-12. In the second game the Tigers beat a good River Forest team 25-11, 25-18. In final game the girls played terrific, but still fell short to Washington 25-13, 23-25, 12-15. The Tigers are steadily improving defensively and are developing a good offense. They were led by Lydia Chambers going 35-40 serving, Katelyn Bell went 23-27 serving and Shay Rogers added 12-14 serving.

Boys' Baseball
The Middle School Baseball team lost to Westville on Tuesday. Caleb Frasier and Bradley Tucker pitched for the Tigers, while Mitchell Brown and Bradley Tucker each got a hit.       


Ted Weise, guest speaker for the middle school, visited Wanatah School and engaged the middle school students with leadership ideas.
